Description

This is an experimental rolling pin made from asymmetric laminate of bubinga and curly maple, with an inlay of maple and walnut veneer. This combination is a classic, curly maple being a very common complementary wood for bubinga. The walnut veneer showing through the handles gives it just an extra touch of class. The rolling pin is rather hefty. The handles are slim but longer than average. If you like the feel of a smooth rolling without bulky handles and at the same time, you don’t want to feel the butt ends of the handles in your palm, this might just be the one for you. The thickest part of the handle is less than 1.25″,  which is on the slim side as far as handles go.

Material: Bubinga and Curly Maple / Walnut and Maple Veneer
Total length: 21.5″
Handle length: 4.25″
Diameter: 2.125″

These rolling pins are perfect to roll out your favorite cookie dough. The finish applied is a mixture of organic beeswax and food grade mineral oil. We do not use vegetable based oils (such as olive oil, grapeseed oil, soybean oil, canola oil, etc.) because vegetable oils go rancid in time and once that happens to your rolling pin, there is no fixing it.

Keep in mind that rolling pins are not dishwasher safe. They can be wiped with a wet rag, or hand washed, then wiped and allowed to dry before storage. Occasional coating with a rolling pin conditioner is a good idea. With every order, we include a small container of the same finish mixture that we use during the production process, which should last you several years.

Our goal is to make rolling pins that you would find pleasant to use all year round while you bake for your family, for your friends, and for yourself.  It certainly has been a joy for us and our friends who have received rolling pins that we make. And we make those rolling pins right here in the USA.
